Face Mask Removal Guidelines

 

The facemask should be removed prior to transportation, regardless of the current respiratory status.

Those involved in pre-hospital care of injured football players should have the tools for face mask removal readily available. Use of a PVC ratchet cutter or specially designed face-mask removal tool (Trainers’ Angle or FM Extractor) are the tools of choice.
